Our straw-based Premium Soil Conditioner is a 100% natural, manure-based fertiliser which is full of essential nutrients to boost the fertility of the soil. Our soil conditioner helps to promote vibrant colours to your flowers and naturally advances the growth of vegetables, fruit trees and flowers (especially in roses) making this the perfect soil conditioner to make your garden colourful. When our soil conditioner is mixed into the soil it improves moisture retention, soil structure and texture. It can also help break up any clay soils and gives body and substance to sandy-type soils, making it a versatile soil improver for many types of horticultural requirements. How and when to use Soil Conditioner Our Soil Conditioner can be used all year round however if your soil is starting to look more clay-like, sandy or tired you will need to add a soil conditioner as this will help break up these burdens and therefore create a much more nutrient-fueled soil. Firstly, you will need to measure your garden/flower bed to find out how much soil conditioner you will need. Be sure to remove any debris (large rocks/weeds) as this can be a burden to your garden. Next, you till the soil to a depth of around 4 to 5 inches and spread it across your garden bed. We are very fortunate to have a couple of our own delivery vehicles and our wonderful driver, Paul, who will likely deliver your order to you if you are within around 30 miles of us in Enfield. For orders further away we use a brilliant national courier network. Regrettably we are able to deliver only to mainland UK addresses. Please note that we are able to guarantee delivery only to the kerb rather than to your front door or back garden, although will always do our best to help. If you have tricky access, please contact us prior to ordering to discuss. Delivery windows are 8am until 6pm Monday to Friday and, alas, we are not able to commit to a precise time slot. For local deliveries, we will contact you to discuss your availability. For deliveries further afield, you will receive an SMS message on the morning of your delivery confirming a two hour time slot. Once your delivery day has been agreed, it is your responsibility for you to be present to receive your order and sign for it. If you are not there and your order has to be taken away, you will need to contact us or courier to re-arrange and you will be liable for this cost. Please note that most orders are delivered on pallets and our vehicles enter your property at your risk and at drivers’ discretion.
